Pet Insurance:
Pets First and the ASPCA Pet Insurance will not cover preexisting conditions. This includes if you sign up for a policy with a healthy pet, they get a chronic condition and it is time to renew your policy, the chronic condition will then become preexisting. We will no longer be giving our clients brochures for these insurance companies.
I also checked with Pets Best and the NEW Purina Pet Insurance and they will keep covering any conditions at the renewal of their policy. We now have brochures for the Purina insurance.
Just to give you an idea of the rates for both companies:
For a two year old Beagle
Pets Best: basic plan starts at about $21 per month, to add wellness which would include exams, teeth cleaning, spay, neuter, etc. comes to about $43 per month.
Purina: offers plans with & without preventative care & you choose your deductible.
